What is Cru?

Cru is the name of the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ in the United States. It is an interdenominational Christian organization that promotes evangelism and discipleship in more than 190 countries around the world. In 1996, USA TODAY called Cru the largest evangelical organization in the United States. Today, the organization employs over 25,000 full-time missionaries around the world and has trained 225,000 volunteers.

THE MISSION:
Cru on college campuses exists to help fulfill the Great Commission by introducing students to Christ, discipling students in there faith, and then sending students to the world to make an eternal impact through the power of the Holy Spirit.

THE PROBLEM:
There is tremendous competition for the minds and hearts of students. How they are influenced in college will most likely affect them for the rest of their lives.  Check out this video of our staff interviewing students on the ASU campus and hear their view of God:

THE SOLUTION:
In the face of these competitive forces, God is bringing an increasing number of students into a relationship with Himself. We are trusting God to specifically reach the 3.5 million students in California, Arizona, Hawaii and the city of Las Vegas with the Gospel. We are also sending students from these three states to eight countries around the world, many are closed countries where we are trusting God for new movements to be raised up so that everyone on campus can know someone who follows Jesus. Each campus. Each student. If we reach the students today, we will reach the leaders of tomorrow.
