High Schoolers Come to Christ!
Holly had the opportunity to teach at the Dream City Christian School chapel on “Why we shouldn’t cancel people when they hurt us.” She was able to talk about how Jesus doesn’t cancel us. Also, without first being reconciled to Jesus, we will have a very hard time reconciling with one another.
At the end, she challenged the Christians to stand if they are willing to be individuals who will give grace and truth and pursue reconciliation with others. About 20 students stood. After praying over them, Holly invited those who had not truly surrendered their lives to Jesus to do so. At least 6 students raised their hands and put their faith in Jesus.
One of the wonderful things about this school is that it has the largest number of international students in the country, and 90% of those students come as non-believers. One of them, Sumi, is from India and is Hindu. She is a freshman and has been at the school for one year. Holly got to know her while she was helping with set design for a school musical. She was so excited to hear that Holly was going to speak at chapel that she sat in the front row. Holly felt led to give her a copy of her book, “Follow My Lead.” She’s never given a non-believer her book on evangelism before! But Sumi read the first two chapters the first night! She came with questions and is excited to continue to dialogue with Holly about Jesus. Please pray for Sumi to come to Christ while she is here in the States.
Personal Update
Carter and Briella got to perform in their school’s Seussical Musical. Carter was the lead role, Horton the elephant, and Briella was a bird girl. Holly helped behind the scenes, getting to know the kids and moms. Thanks for praying for our family.
